Wallace Brewing Company

wallace-1 Wallace Brewing Company, located in the historic mining camp of Wallace Idaho where we embrace our rough & tumble past, opened late in 2008 with Chase Sanborn doing most of the brewery & tasting room duties. In October of 2011 WBC hired Jack Johnson as Brew-Master, a graduate of the American Brewers Guild.  Jack took the existing recipes and turned good beer into great beer. He also added some of his own, the RedLight Irish Red Ale won Bronze at the 2012 NABA competition. Since Jacks arrival the brewery efficiency has gone up. Product consistency has improved, along with quality control  assurances though a regular testing program by Alpha Analytic. At the beginning of 2013 Odom Corporation took on all distributing for Idaho, Washington, Oregon, & Alaska. Living and brewing in Wallace Idaho is ideal for Jack an avid fly fishermen & Chase a mountain biker.

Wallace Brewing Company Beers

1910 Black Lager: Ours is smooth and light in flavor even though the color is dark with hints of coffee and a touch of dark chocolate. We accomplish this by cold steeping the dark malts for 24 hours prior to brewing. This process removes the strong bitter heavy flavors associated with dark beers.  4.8% ABV

Dirty Blond Pale Ale: Is a retro or throw back brew. What I mean by this is that there are not many traditional pale ales being produced anymore, the trend has moved toward more and more hops in this style. We brew ours to the style guidelines making this an enjoyable hoppy ale that is not overwhelming or heavy. 4.9% ABV 40 IBU’s

Red Light Irish Red: This brew is deep red in color derived from various caramel and pale malts that produce a medium body flavor that imparts hints of cherry and port wine, balanced with a smooth hop bitterness. This beer is favorite among those new to craft beer styles. 2012 Bronze at NABA. 5.5% ABV

Vindicator IPA: An IPA is an India Pale Ale well known for its strong assertive hop flavor and aroma. We brew ours with a blend of American grown hops specially formulated for the IPA style. The hoppy character is complimented with 2-row brewers malt, caramel malt & Munich malt to produce a well balanced drinkable IPA. 7% ABV, 72 IBU
