Northern Ales

downloadNorthern Ales, Inc. was established in 2007 in Northport, Washington.  After 3.5 years in Northport, Northern Ales grew out of their location and made the journey south to Kettle Falls in October of 2010. Steve Hedrick is, Head Brewer, Ale Draper (bar tender), Janitor, Chicken and Hop Farmer, and dad. Steve graduated college from CSU California Maritime Academy after which he joined the M.E.B.A (Marine Engineers Beneficial Association) union and sailed as an engineer of varying degrees. Steve sailed for 5 years while he perfected the art of home brewing.  He joined the brewing rabble of northeast Washington, which helped his understanding of the art and quickly changed from extract brewing to all grain brewing.  Steve has always been known for his exotic beers.  Just check out the Honey-Basil Ale!  Beers available on tap include; The Grouch Lager, Okanagan Highlander, Flume Creek IPA, Smoked North Porter, Honey Basil, Smelter’s Ash, and several seasonal rotations. Keep in mind that beers on tap can change quickly, but there is always a good selection of perfectly quaffable beers on hand. When hunger strikes and you need sustenance beyond the complimentary peanuts, be sure to try their fantastic pizza, salads and other unique menu items.
